Renamer (MacOs)
OS: MacOs
Type: Friendly interface to manipulate names of any media

Why should you use an app to modify names? wouldn't be easier to change names manually?
well, it depends how many files you need to rename, how often you need to rename new files to organize your data and what criteria your names conventions need, to group and organize your data for a better retrieval. Let's see what Renamer can do for you:
- Search-replace a word pattern
- Rename with a sequential number
- Rename files using their folder as name and add a sequential number
- Shorten illegible, long names
- Delete a word pattern before or after a specified string
- Change uppercase, lowercase
- Change file suffix
- Change the name using the file's first line
- Add a new first name / last name
- Add a new first name / last name using Finder tags
- Add a today date / creation date
- Add a page count to Pdf files
Usage
1. pre-select files / folders in your file browser, the Finder
2. run Renamer
3. fill in the input fields and pick an opton from the popup menus or simply choose a menu point of the popup menu and confirm with OK
Installation
1. unzip Renamer.zip
and
2. create a folder in your home directory with name Applications
.
3. put Renamer in that folder, then drag Renamer.app
in your Dock - that is by default, the app bar at the bottom of your screen.
4. launch Renamer and agree to all permission requests of MacOs, otherwise Renamer won't work correctly.
Now, rename your media to group and retrieve media when you need it !
