How to write like a Pro, speedy and concise like nobody else? your secret weapon will be some sort of Text Expander, like Espanso

The only downside of Espanso: there is no graphical user interface to add quickly your own snippets. You've to learn some programming language (Yaml-syntax) to insert your snippets in a rather manual, cumbersome way.

What if you could insert text, picture or even script quickly with a few clicks from an user friendly user interface? here you go!

Espanso interface allows you to add as many custom categories as you like (eg. private, job, smilies, symbols, etc) and to store therehin your snippets. And if you forget your text expander shortcuts, don't worry! open espanso's search mask to find your shortcuts or open the category where you stored your snippets from Espanso interface and take a look or edit your snippets immediately.

Usage

1. Use any Script-Launcher you like (Alfred, Raycast, FireScript, etc.)

2. set your text shortcut, choose a category or add a new one, then insert your text to expand or drag n drop a image file on the choose dialog under Image/Script and confirm with OK, done!

3. to edit your categories, simple launch Espanso interface and choose a category, then confirm with OK!

Installation

1. unzip Espanso interface.zip and

2. press cmd+shift+g and insert ~/Library/Scripts/ to open Apple's scripts folder

3. Firescripts (Script launcher): in ~/Library/Scripts/, create a folder and name it "Applications". Enter this folder and create another folder and name it "Finder". The final path will look like this: ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Finder/ . Place Espanso interface in there. The next time you use Firescripts and your main app is the Finder, you will find Espanso interface as an option.

4. Other Script Launcher: just assign a shortcut to Espanso interface to add snippets quickly

Now, be productive with your render projects and enjoy your new Render Engine !
